DEI Dean's Seminar: Socio-structural factors and community driven responses to address HIV-related inequities
This seminar will examine the ways in which multiple, and often intersecting, socio-structural factors (e.g. structural racism, homophobia, poverty, gender inequality) drive inequities in HIV outcomes among marginalized and underserved groups in the United States. Panelists will provide examples of social and behavioral research which has described and/or allowed for the development and testing of community driven responses to address these challenges across population groups and settings.
